Among the spectators was Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of former captain M S Dhoni, who was also present at the stadium. Former English footballer David Beckham graced the India vs New Zealand semi-final match today, being in India as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador advocating for child rights and gender equality. Also spotted at the Wankhede Stadium was cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by his son, cricketer Arjun Tendulkar. Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, unfortunately, sidelined from the World Cup due to a left ankle ligament injury sustained during a league match against Bangladesh on October 19, was also among the spectators at the exciting semi-final clash.
Virat Kohli created history by breaking the 50th-century record of Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The entire stadium stood up to give him a standing ovation.
